Created in 1843 In Alès, the National School of Mines of Alès (IMT Mines Alès) is one of the 10 engineering schools with the longest history in France. Founded under Louis-Philippe to train managers for the mining industry, the school has constantly developed and adapted to the changes in the industrial world and society. Today it is a a leading multidisciplinary engineering school whose influence is recognized in major national and global higher education rankings.
